The camps of the Ochsner Hockey Academy have greatly aided my development both on and off the ice. They provide participants with a wealth of intriguing information sources and viewpoints from which one can construct their own blueprint to strengthen their ow n game and potential. An incredibly vital aspect of the Academy, due to its independence, is its focus on the individual player and his personal development, whereas club training often tends to be very team- and result-oriented. This creates an environment where one can experiment with new movements and ideas well outside their comfort zone, and after numerous failed attempts, one doesn’t have to worry but can simply keep trying until they succeed, thus learning immensely through the beauty of failure. I thank the Ochsner Hockey Academy for their vital guidance on my developmental journey and am already looking forward to the next camp.
